“Are You Being Deceived About True Wellness” unveils a lot of the deceptions that have been keeping most Americans sick, and their health far out of reach. Not only does it reveal the misguided direction too many of us are headed – down a path of disease to the point of no return – but it also gives real life solutions and truths that help one restore their body back to good health using a wholistic approach. Real “anti-aging” solutions.

Most of us are deceived in many ways about what true wholistic health is. This book is about unveiling the confusion, myths and deceptions that can prevent someone from achieving true, wholistic health.

This book will uncover:

  • The health semantics that truly can make or break us
  • What true wholistic health really is
  • The connection between our mental/emotional, spiritual, and physical health
  • An understanding of some very important, yet often overlooked organs and systems of our body
  • Some key major deceptions leading to chronic, degenerative diseases
  • Practical tools and resources, not commonly utilized by conventional medicine

This book shows that we have a choice about how to take care of our health. If we don’t know we have a choice, then we could very well continue down the path of sickness and disease—perhaps even thinking we are doing the best we can for ourselves when in fact we are not—because we have unknowingly been deceived. Truth about our health is powerful !

Interview Questions & Answers

Health needs to be viewed wholistically, uncovering the root cause of the problem, and restoring the body back to good health, using natural approaches. But most recommendations are not having this as the basis of their approach. This book reveals these misguided approaches that are causing frustration for many individuals and how to overcome this frustration.

Wholistic health means having your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health functioning optimally and in good balance. It’s all about balance.

The conventional medicine objective is to determine a disease and manage that disease, a lot of the time with prescription medicines, and even surgeries. Wholistic health treats the person, and their life as a whole, working towards uncovering the root cause, and restoring the person back to a good, healthy balance using natural approaches – diet, lifestyle changes etc.

A functional medicine doctor is a great person to have as your primary care doctor. A chiropractic internist functions in this capacity, a naturopath, and sometimes even acupuncturists or wholistic dentists. Depending on your health challenges, functional medicine practitioners will even specialize in certain areas such as hormones, digestive disorders, even cancers.

Absolutely! I continue to be amazed at the research that is out there and the tools that are utilized by functional medicine practitioners. Quite often the research they utilize to guide them in their natural approaches comes straight from the medical literature. But what sets them apart from conventional practitioners is their objective. And their objective is to take the time, key word being time, to uncover the root cause. There truly is a ton of research out there supporting their analysis, diagnosis and natural treatment protocols.

BOOK EXCERPT:

“The protocol we chose to pursue was to address the root—infection and inflammation—by my eating a non-inflammatory diet, exercising, taking a natural supplement regimen addressing immune function, and all the other things that I will talk about that support health and healing.

The bottom line is if I had pursued the more common conventional approach to high blood pressure by just taking a blood pressure med, the root cause would never have been uncovered or addressed. In real- ity, I would have most likely struggled with high blood pressure the rest of my life. In addition, what was a sub-clinical auto-immune condition at the time would most likely have become a full-blown auto-immune problem—leading to a whole host of other diseases which also would have been addressed with drugs to only relieve the symptoms and never get to the root cause.

Instead, we cut the full-blown disease off at the pass by determining the cause and working toward restoring the body back to full health and optimum function. Keep these two paths in mind as you continue to read the truths about wellness, and before you make your choice as to which course you will either pursue or allow to happen to you.

Once you decide what your desired approach is, you need to equip yourself with the knowledge, resources, and—when necessary— healthcare practitioners (traditional or natural) who align with the same course you have chosen.

If you decide you want to restore your body back to good health using natural approaches—the wholistic model—then read on…this book is for you! However, it will first take a paradigm shift in what you think health and wellness is. Let’s explore that word for a minute.

par·a·digm: noun \ˈper-ә-ˌdīm, ˈpa-rә- also -ˌdim\ : a model or pattern for something that may be copied: a theory or a group of ideas about how som thing should be done, made, or thought about. (1)

For the duration of this book, I ask that you take what you think you know about health and wellness and just set it aside. I’m not telling you to forget anything; once you are done with this book, you will want and need to make comparisons between what you have been thinking and doing, and what you have learned in order to make the best choice for yourself. For the time being, though, start with a clean slate and pretend you know nothing about health and wellness. Ready to begin the exploration journey?”
