This is now the beginning of my 10th season backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. To date I now have 1,866 miles on the AT completed, with approximately 330 miles left to do — I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
If all goes as planned I will have 2 more backpacking outings after this one planned this year, and finish with my last hike through the 100 Mile Wilderness and on up Mt. Katahdin for the grand finale — reaching my goal by completing the Trail by the time I am 65 years old.
This trip I will close up one of the 3 gaps I still have open — from the northern portion of Massachusetts to the southern 1/3 of Vermont. Come join me on yet another beautiful hike along the Appalachian Trail!
