Continuing hiking through the northern part of the Shenandoah’s to finish up this section before the year is finished! My friend Charlie joined me on this hike after a stop over for the night at my niece Taylor’s house in Bedford, VA to break up the drive. It is becoming a little more challenging logistically to take off enough time from work, drive 6+ hours one way to the trailhead, hike a reasonable amount of days to make the drive worth the while, drive back home another 6+ hours and be back to work the next day!
And sometimes, the drive can be longer than it should when you get lost trying to find the trailhead! All part of the adventure!
But this hike was certainly worth the travels! The Shenandoah’s continue to be beautiful and fall is a great time of year to be hiking!
