Continuing my commitment to section-hike the entire Appalachian Trail. This is 3 hikes into year 3, 2015. I picked up where I left off a couple of weeks ago at Laurel Creek, VA 615 near Bland, VA. It was a GREAT hike! The weather was great and the elevation and terrain even better! This is what I would call a “redeeming hike” — I will have more of these in the years ahead, and they are always the BEST!
Step by step making my way up the AT through Virginia. Virginia holds the most number of miles on the AT – approximately 557.5 miles. I’m still in southern, VA for this hike but getting there, getting there! My goal is to complete the state of Virginia in this year. Will I do?
