Appalachian Trail – Indian Grave to Iron Mountain Gap, TN – 12 miles – April 2013

In 2012 I closed my practice in Charleston, SC and I took a job in Rutherford County, NC working for another chiropractor.  it did not go well at all so I quit after 4 months.  I learned of the management position in a little health food store in town and I took it!  I absolutely LOVED this job!  Now that I have my work life re-established, it was time to start living into a social life once again.  And what better way to do it than to search for like-minded folks.  I am now living at the foothills of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, so I searched out a hiking group.

I signed up for a hike and lo and behold where was it, but none other than on a section of the Appalachian Trail!  And the best part, it was only an hour from my home!  Unfortunately, the few pictures I took got lost somehow in all the computer handoffs over the years I guess, but I didn’t want to leave a gap in my photo journaling so I wrote this short blog instead.  To read more about this interesting hike (to say the least), keep an eye out for my AT Memoir that is on its way — I promise!

But because there are no pics from this hike, I decided to add a couple of other pictures that might give you a little insight into where this love for the outdoors came from for me — Girl Scouts of course!
