Ended the first section-hiking season in 2013 with a final day hike. The Trail along this section tracks the state line along the main crest of Iron Mountain. It really was an easy hike, made easier by only having to carry a light daypack. Right on time with the hand off of one month to the next – October to November, the weather did its part. Temps were probably in the low 50’s with a little bit of sun peeking through, some cloud cover at times, and even for a brief period the wind whipped up and even blew in some sleet!
If you are enjoying the photo albums, here is a link to the first of the three accompanying AT Trilogy books – “Facing Fear Through Faith – Book One: One Step at a Time: An 11-Year Journey on the Appalachian Trail” if you would like to read more about the journey!
