Next was my first winter hike – the year was starting off hitting the ground running. Charlie, Jonathan and I decided to hike from Harpers Ferry, WV into Maryland. But as I’ve already come to learn, sometimes the best laid plans don’t always pan out as expected. This was going to be another one of those times – oh boy, when I said I wanted to do a winter hike, a true winter hike it turned out to be!
