This was a very humbling trip and in ways difficult to post. I have been planning and talking about this trip to almost anyone who would listen to me for 9 months — since last November to be more specific. I’m sure I will disappoint some, and others may breathe a sigh of relief with the choices I made on this journey. Instead of thinking of this trip solely as yet another section of the AT marked off the wall map, I have to think of it more as my summer vacation to New Hampshire, because that’s what it ended up being — as well as for my emotional well-being.
