The Trail took us a gradual and pleasant 3 mile climb southbound to our first stop for the day, Doll Flats for a little break. Doll Flats is a large tenting area, where I envision dozens of thru-hikers stopping here for the night after their major climbs up and over some of the most beautiful southern balds you’d ever want to see. Little did I know what was in store for me, however…. come, let me show you!
